Name: Artemis Silverbow
Age: 123
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Like most elves of her region, Artemis fair skinned and dark haired. The contours of her face and ears also are similar to all of her kinsmen, as is her lithe figure. The only truly remarkable thing about her is her piercing green eyes and the aura she radiates. Even though she only looks to be 16, she can overpower a room with her presence without even knowing it - yet she can also blend into the shadows if it is needed.
Artemis's dress is standard for elves: flowing garments made in neutral colors from earthen things. Yet she is almost never seen without her bow, made of silver wood from a tree she herself sang to, and her knife, a pure silver blade with blue opal set into the hilt. A half read book or scroll is also usually handy, as is a friendly greeting.
RP Example:
Knock knock knock
Artemis stirred from her restful trance, roused by the rapid pounding at the door. The sounds of the night in Du Weldenvaden reached her ears as she rolled over. She really didn't want to get out from under her nice warm blankets and face the chilled night air that awaited her. Maybe if I'm quiet, he'll just go away her drowsy mind thought.
Knock knock knock
It was considerably louder this time, and it was also obvious that this visitor would not be ignored. Artemis threw back the covers with a great sigh and made her way to the entry. A travel worn messenger stood poised to knock yet again on the beautifully carved oak door. "Atra estern¨ª ono thelduin" the messenger stated hastily as he slid a scroll out from under his coat. Artemis replied absent "Mor'ranr l¨ªfa unin hjarta onr" as she intently studied the scroll she had been handed. Moonlight illuminated it just in time for her to see the royal seal stamped upon it. Her heart missed a beat. A message from the Queen herself Artemis realized as she ran her hand over the wax. A brief "Un du evar¨ªnya ono varda" from the messenger brought her out of her thoughts just in time to see him turn and mount his horse. Artemis, realizing that she was not the only mail recipient that night, decided to let him go on his way. She quickly made her way to the window near her bed so that she could read the note - a note that inevitably called the Elves to war.
Rank: Elf Noble
Country: Du Weldenvarden
Personality:
Even though she is over a century in age, Artemis is still very young by elf terms - still a teenager by comparison. As such, she is still trying to find her place while living up to the expectations placed upon her. Artemis also has an inverted personality and it takes a while for her to open up to people. In general, she would much rather be alone in forest then around people anyway.
Although she is very secretive, the young elf also harbors a vast amount of knowledge on many subjects. One of her hobbies is studying history in general. She has stockpiled amazing amounts of information and is exceptionally smart and resourceful. Artemis is an excellent fighter too. Training with the bow and sword is her hobby, and she takes pride knowing that if there is a call to duty that she will be able to protect her country.
History:
Artemis was born into the Silverbow family in the year 7859 A.C. Her family was looked upon as a prominent one among elves. Artemis was praised greatly as a baby because she was, in fact, the only Silverbow that had been born in many years and was the only continuation of the ancient lineage.
Life was peaceful for many years - until Galbatorix took over Alagaesia and chaos seized the land to the south. Artemis was still very young at the time, but she understood that something very bad was happening and decided to be ready to fight when the time came. Mastery of the blade and the bow soon became her passions as she grew up and figured out what was really happening in the world.
Yet her family had yet another secret. In the years that Galbatorix was hunting down and killing all of the riders, the Silverbows were able to protect a sword. It was given to them as a gift from a dieing Rider who wished for it to find its way into the hands of someone that would right the wrongs committed against both Riders and Dragons. The green sword - one of only three remaining - is safely hidden away in the family's dwelling, awaiting the day the rider of the final unhatched dragon comes to reclaim it.
